The radiator on my touring is smaller than an m42 radiator... Car is stock
    and never had A/C.

My M20 with the regular fan clutch never overheats. The radiator might
be ticker but not by much...

Awesome. I bet that car is fast. how's it feel compared to the mkv gti? I swapped your old wiring harness out and replaced it with the one on the car so starter should be fine now...

Nice glad you got it sorted. I haven't really gotten on it yet, I'm picking the car up this evening with the exhaust completed so I'll know then and report back. Let me know how your temp gauge reads once you get it running. Mine is at 1/2 or slightly higher but after 50 miles it started to go up as the car was sitting. Going to try water wetter and hope that doesn't happen again.

I have the spal working good now but I still need the brown top connector hooked up. So I guess sunday I'll be pulling the intake manifold off again... So close to being able to cruise down to the beach can't wait.

Love this car. Absolutely kills the mkv gti, it's even quite torquey with the 2.93 (and the gearing is just where I'd want it to be with the ZF). Now I just need to figure out why the fan stopped working... something must have come loose during shipping. Even the condenser fan doesn't come on with the snowflake button, although it does light up blue. Hmm...

Pmd before seeing you got fan in, you dont have to remove the intake to change the blue or brown sensor

17-19 e30 tool in trunk kit fits under fine ;)
