    M52 e39 Wiring Question

Does anyone know how to interconnect engine electric harness (X6021, X6011, think X6051 isn´t necessary) M52 from e39 to e30 (C101)? I don´t want OBD I convertion, don´t mention it.

you can get the pin out of the harness at speghettidecoder. If your keeping it obd2 you will need all the ews stuff including key, keyring, ect unless your ecu is ews deleted.

I have all the ews stuff of course. Yes, I have used BMW WDS and I have found some description... But I am not 100% sure so I ask here. I´ll be very happy if someone writes something like pin11/c101 to pin3/X6021

if you cant read the ETM's and figure out the simplest part of the OBD2 swap. Then you will never be able to successfully run OBD2. There is a lot of wiring you have to add from scratch to the body side. Its not a direct pin to pin like OBD1. There are also a lot of components from the body of the donor car that you will need to make OBD2 run happily.

X20 is for the most part pin to pin, the x6031(? the small one in the bundle with the x20 and traction control ones) will need to be wired into the body from scratch.

You will also need to wire the EWS control module into the body from scratch. Along with the OBD2 D110 Diag port.

Im still working on mine, Added another fuse bus under the dash(from the donor car) because access into the E30 fuse box is horrible to be pinning new fuses and accessing power for all ignition states.

^ You know E30's come with an auxillary fuse box for just that purpose right?

I can read the WDS. I have just asked. Rather to ask twice, than to blow up a DME once. Some pins can be plainly connected e.g. 1/X6021 -> 5/C101, 9/X6011 -> 1/C101 (if I´m right ) and some not - these are made usually individualy.

To wire a EWS into the body from scratch isn´t impossible, I have wired it on a table at this time (without DME) and it seems to work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbHg7hHolIo.

I am just asking, if somebody have it done here to tell his setup.

            Hope it´s understandably
