In that case it wont work, the obd2 cam sensor harness side plug is female and so is the obd1 cam sensor plug.
I've learned this the hard way.
I actually have a brand new obd2 cam position sensor. idk if you want to pay the shipping though. LMKOriginally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.

Your OBD2 cam sensor is a CID sensor (Cylinder Identification Sensor) Neither a hall or VR. Its a 103k Waveform that becomes modulated to a different amplitude in the presence of the trigger wheel.
FIRST!
Don't use any aftermarket sensors - no Meyle or any other brand
Second
Only buy BMW
Third
Only buy new to replace
OBD2 uses resistance to check the sensor also. Code P0340, and the sensors are very sensitive. A lot of people have had them die just from removing them.
Best of luck.Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
Current : Z3 S50 OBD2 (Smog Legal) 6 Speed BBS RN Dual Ear Diff
