What tire(s) can handle the s50 powa?

I want to be able to have a good stable tire for autox and even occasional canyon run type environments. I am thinking a 15x8 c1 - but what tire to go for with a slight stretch like 205/15s?

Why not buy a big boy sized tire? You know, the size the wheel was intended for. 225/50/15.

i run 245's on my m50 for autoX and lapping and its great. The car still has more then enough power to spin the tires where needed and the tire wear is excellent due to the light wight of the car + wide rubber.

s50 + stretched tires = lose

225 hankook RS3s maybe? really though 225s aren't super wide.. E36 M3s came stock with what, 235s? 245s?

195/65-14 Blizzaks handle the S50 just fine.

A 266 hp Toyota Sienna comes with Bridgestone Turanza EL400 runflats. Any decent tire will handle the S50 fine.

For autocross, you might want to get something like the Hankook R-S3, or any number of 205/50R15 extreme performance tires.

True, the dual VVT-i 3.5L probably has better power delivery since it can control the intake and exhaust cam timing.

I guess it was a bit of a bad comparison. The Sienna is not a street legal rear wheel drive racecar like an E30.

Im using the new Azenis RT 615K compound. Its GREAT. And affordable.

There really aren't any nice compounds bigger than a 205 for 15's. For street tires anyway. Get star specs or RS3s

QFT. I autox on 225/50r15 R888's, street tires are 235/40r17 Eagle F1 Asymmetrics.
