best method for sourcing 24v swap parts

as the title says, what is considered the most effective way of sourcing the parts needed for a 24v swap?

whole cars here arent that cheap, and junkyards often want rape money for the individual parts needed. What is the best/most accepted/most used method of getting the parts needed to do this swap

Buy a wrecked m3. Something that has been totalled but the engine is still fine. Then part out the rest of the car for build $$!

I does depend on what you are looking for All S5x engines, you gonna need the E34 oil pan stuff. If you get an e34 engine, your gonna need engine mount arms...for starters. When I did my swap, I got the engine 1st then sourced the parts needed. Nandos right though, keep an eye out for parts and be ready to buy.

I got my parts from all over the interwebs...R3v,e30tech,bf.c,clist,ebay, and word of mouth. Make a check list and start checking off.

I bought my wrecked E36 for $300. Was smashed pretty bad and already pretty stripped but I still made that $300 back plus had the drivetrain. I got my oil pan from a member here so overall I'm into this swap for less than $400 including mounts and booster. However I haven't done any maintenance to the engine yet, and I do think that cases like that are rare, plus it's still just an M50tu.
