    IX 24V swap?

    Posting this in a few diff spots while i seach on my own. lookign for a customer so i have a tiem crunch.
    Just looking for info if 24V swap is posible into an IX with functional AWD.

    It's possible. Requires a custom oil pan that's part IX and part e34 as I recall.

      im currently working on one, its completely possible. no where near as straight forward as conventional 24v swaps.

        Thank you for the info gents. and good build thread might be in touch with you in the soon on sourcing parts or cuztom stuff i may need.
        Looks a little bit harder then the reg 24v but im up for a new chalange

          They made e34 ixs in Europe if you can track one of those oil pans down.

              Yes, but then you also need all of the other drive line components to go with it.

                along with the oil pan you will need the front and rear diffs, the CV's which will require machining, and then a custom front DS will need to be made... then you still are left with the transmission and transfer case to figure out, either a clocking ring or bell housing modification will be required.

                easiest just to leave it at teh odd angle, and make the pan from the m20 pan and E36 pan.
