Where to trim M3 harness cover?

I know I have seen some good pictures of how people did them but I can't find them now. I could just wing it but it would be nice to see if anyone had some tried and tested cutouts they did. :woowoo:

I took off about an inch right above where it contacts the intake manifold, if you put it up where it goes, you can tell where you need to trim it. I'd give you more info, but it's kind of hard to see installed, and I am NOT taking those things back off.

Be VERY careful cutting that plastic, it's extremely brittle and will crack if you cut it wrong. I'd use a Dremel.

Mine seemed like it was too tall. Didn't spend to much time on it though. Still need to get mine on as well.

I used a dremel on mine. I cut two upside down "v" shapes where it was hitting the manifold. Pretty simple when you've got it all in front of you.

Hmm I guess I will just have to see what it looks like then the motor is in the car.

Take a look at my post. It's half way down.

its probably different for every car. there are 2 different types of manifolds, depends on brake booster size, where you locate the bracket the cover snaps on, etc. I would trim to fit your car once everything is in place.
