dropped in a new trans and now it misses unless at WOT

alright for a while i was fighting a miss and thought i had fixed it... well its back and random again and 95% of the time is ONLY at full throttle...


mods are M52B28 OBDI

all new sensors except cam sensor needs replaced BUT IIRC that wont cause a miss..... so im lost.

anyways if anyone has any ideas lemme kno :D

now when THIS motor was in my red car it dynoed at 227 hp and 232 tq with a chip. now this time around it doesnt have a chip and its has a better designed exhaust pink tops etc etc just not tune/ chip where in the hell am i losing 77 hp? or could a dyno really make that much of a difference... ive never been on a portable dyno like this and i wasnt the only one not happy with the results of it.

so either the dyno is off or i has a problem sumwhere and i CANT find it lol

without an A/F ratio from the dyno we cant tell you shit.

I'm pretty sure you should be making at least as much HP as TQ tho. I'd say a proper tune would be a good start.

lol im making 150 hp and like 168 tq in that graph so idk where the hell my power has gone...

the head has maybe 35-45k and the reast has maybe 85-90k so im guessing a sensor that isnt comming up with the codes or something...

so could the cam sensor cause the vanos not to fully engage or not engae at all?

alright just got done replacing the cam sensor and when i unplugged it there was only 2 prongs in the harness but 3 slots in the plug... isnt there supposed to be 3? (ill be looking at the wiring diagram tomorrow at the shop)

so no it seems to be missing worse... or im just immagining it but its ONLY misses at WOT and if i go like 3/4 throttle it doesnt seem to miss...

also it seems to be worse when its warm so im leaning towards coolent temp sensor.

any other ideas? could it be an ecu problem or a fucked up wiring harness?!?!?

Youre somehow plugging the cam sensor into the knock sensor plug. Fail.

Unplug your O2 first, observe.
Restore
Then unplug your MAF.
Restore
Unplug your Cam Sensor
Restore


Does it get better when either of those are unhooked? Those give you direction


Sounds like a mixture issue.



You really need a scope to check out your cam signal.
