Not sure what ya mean by where the lines are running... Basically factory CCV hose from valve cover to factory cyclone seperator. Plum the other port of the cyclone seperator to vaccuum (i run Eric's silicone kit at M50manifold.com on all my customer cars) and run the drain port of the Cyclone Separator to the modified dipstick. Basically how its done from the factory.

The problem is the lack of used parts i have laying around. These things are getting harder to find

i went the e39 m5 separator route. just installed on sunday so too early to tell how much it has helped, if it has at all.

Excuse the ignorance, I was getting a little confused at everyone saying obd2 -- this is still useful for people running the OBD1 breather valve is it not? They would just drain directly from there into your setup? Sorry, still wrapping my head around this CCV stuff

this is useful for any 24ver trying to drain the crankcase vapor oil from their oil separator/catch can back into the dipstick and the sump. the obd2 24v engines already came with an integrated oil separator attached to the intake manifold and an oil dipstick with an extra nipple attached to it to receive the separated oil. obd1 24vs simply had a hose from the valve cover fitting to the intake boot, and a smaller one to the underside of the intake manifold at the icv hose fitting. basically the oil vapors can only go straight back into the intake, and often form an oily mess in the manifold and get burned up in the combustion chamber. this setup still works fine as long as your engine is healthy and not experiencing excessive blowby, but an obd2 setup will help keep the intake air cleaner and more oil inside the engine. a lot of people prefer the obd1 intake manifold for more power in the higher rpms, but since the manifold has no provision for an oil separator a setup has to be rigged, if you choose to go that route. hope that clears things up a little

hmm --- so an obd1 swap could plug their throttle boot and drain into your dipstick, sounds like a no-brainer to me -- again sorry for the ignorance but the throttle boot drain is stock obd1? The diagrams are all cut and dont show the other end of the drain line

                            Ps definitely getting one

Stock obd1 has no drain hose to the dipstick. Only one large hose to bottom of the boot and one to underside of manifold. And no you don't want to just plug the throttle boot and connect an oil separator. The crankcase pressure can build up and cause seals to leak etc.

OK I'm in! The only issue is that I can't get down to pick up my S52 for a couple of weeks and I don't know it the Cyclone separator is still there or not.

So, what was your final determination on cost for the mod?
