Yes the bolt holes do not line up with the e34 oil pan ones. I am also running the 260 with the m50 and 4:10 diff and 1st and 2nd are very short, i'll probably switch it out for a 3:73 or even lower once i get the time and money!

I know some guys local to me who run 260s with turbo m5x and s5x builds...and I know one of them personally, he beats the shit out of the car, he spun a bearing on a 500+hp m50 when I believe he was running a 260....
Also, understanding that I am still in the basics of learning the requirements of certain parts for a 24v swap, what complications arise from the e34 pan and 260 not lining up? I still haven't found any clear line of information on this, and I am glad the thread took this turn.
Idk if this link helps but some of the posts on this thread are asking about stuff that I have read directly on this wiki, made by a fellow e30 enthusiast.
