my pan was from a 92 NV motor and had the windage tray in it. I removed the one from the engine, and kept the one in the pan.

yes, this is what I did also.

s52 --> remove s52 pan and windage tray.

M50nv with tray intergrated to pan.

YES that is what I did as well
