    Pusher fan stuck

I found out my pusher is blowing fuses because it doesn't turn freely. I can turn half a turn easily, but half a turn is hard with my hand. Its not scraping anything on the outside.
Not sure if its stock E30 or from a different model BMW, but it has two speeds.

What are the internals like in these things? I read something about bearings? Is it fixable or should I start looking for a replacement?
Driving it was fine, but when I got stuck in traffic, the needle got up to the 3/4 mark and that made me nervous.

    Replace it. Motor is dead.

      Bump.
I replaced the fan short after that post with a used fat one from an e34. Ran awesome, blew like a mofo.
Saturday I got the car all shiny and after a quick ride I burnt my finger on the resistor because the fan wasn't spinning. It's stuck again.
Do these things rust or something? The car wasn't driven all winter.

The resistor will get burning hot no matter what but it may be that your resistor is fried (or resisting too much) does high speed work?

Both speeds are dead and it's hard to turn the fan freely by hand.

Ok I found the sixteen incher I can order, recommend size here on the forums.
Though I went through some threads, I'm not sur if I can just wire up the old wiring, it was working OK both temp swith and the manual buttons I have inside. Do I still use the old resistor?
