W.A.R Chip with silver label 413

Searched desperately for about an hour. No info.

    Heres the setup

    silver label 413
WAR chip for 413 and 506 ECU
    E34 M50 Harness (95)
    96 M52
    60lb Injectors
    Blow through Maf (Miller)

Im not getting a fuel pump signal. Which is obviously EWS or something. I was under the assumption that the WAR chip bypassed it but im not sure.

Ive emailed brody. I must be getting annoying because hes been slow on the responses. Any suggestions?

Question: Will the WAR chip work with the silver label 413 ECU? And does it bypass EWS2? IF so i suppose i have another problem.

Unless its changed the WAR does not disable ews. I was e-mailing them about it a couple of months back. Check me on this though.

Sounds that way. Brody got back to me speedily. I was just being impatient. Hes basically saying they dont use silver labels or havent yet. So its pretty much guessing or assuming EWS is still there...

He suggested clipping the EWS wire. Which isnt even hooked up because its going in a e30

I do remember reading a thread where someone bypassed the ews by connecting 2 wires coming from the ECU creating a loop. Looking for that thread now.

well, ive got a red label 413 on the way. I searched miller and the only thing it says is 413. Doesnt specify color or year. Oh well. Lesson learned

Ok, ive got a grey area going on. This silver label is 12/94. Technically before EWS2 was employed.
Ive checked the basics and verified there is no fuel signal coming from the ECU. Im going to go back through everything and make sure. Nontheless ill be using the red label. I just want to clear up this silver label issue

Considering the EWS is stored in the EPROM chip technically WAR should Eliminate it when you install their chip and write their software.

Ill report back with findings. None of this im blaming on the WAR chip. The product and customer service have been awesome.

Yeah do report back. All i know is what I said before. IIRC, the chip has some interaction with the EWS, but it isn't the heart and soul of it so to speak.

ok, so the WAR Chip does bypass the EWS. Must of had the wiring messed up.

                      The sliver 413's use EWS1 btw. EWS2 was obd2 ECU's.

I used a silver label DME with a WAR chip last month (october) and it worked just fine, just cut wire number 7 on the X20 or 66 on the DME. Number 7 is easier to get to.

First time post. Came across this thread because I am having the same issue with the silver 413 and the WAR chip. I do have EWSII. No luck getting the car to run with pin 66 clipped. If I plug my Turner chip back in, starts no problem. I'm thinking that getting a red 413 is the only option. Am I missing something?

I cant help you, but i do have a question.

The proper comp to use with an M52 would be a silver label 413 right?
