Here is an updated shot of the engine bay now that it is all done and buttoned up.

Here are some shots form under the car, mostly exhaust.

I pulled my grills and gave them the trim black treatment as well. So while I'm doing this I notice that my grills do not match. I have a euro grill on the passenger side and a US grill on the drivers side. Kinda odd.

    All done:

They came out really good. From 5 feet away they look brand new.

        Thats a clean bay!

Do you plan on making a heat shield for your intake? The alternator creates alot of heat so you virtually have a hot air intake as of right now. Lol. Or maybe just make a mounting bracket so the filter sits a bit higher up?

Supercharger arrives with week. Assuming I can get it to fit somewhere, the the intake will end up being behind the passenger side headlights. Then the charged air will be intercooled. That's the plan anyway.

Well the charger arrived. It's an Eaton M90 from a 3.8 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. Its a Gen 3 charger.

This sucker is big... not sure if there is room for it where the AC compressor was...

Also the snout is leaking like a son of a bitch. Going to have to replace the snout seal.

              Here are poopy iPhone pics:

Basically I found this picture online and got really excited. This is an Eaton M62 which has a much smaller snout and pushes 62 cubic inches of air per rotation. The M90 pushes 90 cubic inches. I picked up the charger for $91 shipped. It was so cheap that I had to try. And if it turns out it can't be done, I am pretty confident that I can get my $100 out of it.

So the M90 is huge. There is not a chance in hell I will get it to work unless I want to relocate the alternator and stuff it under the manifold... That would then require me to get a different intercooler... I just don't want to tear into it that far.

The charger in the pic above turned out to be an M62. I found one on eBay, it's 19" long. I need to measure and see if I have the room for it. If so I will try to sell off the M90 to fund the M62.

The one I used on my build is a M62 from a 2007 cobalt ss... for a 2.5L engine its good enough for 6-7PSI u dont want more then that on a roots type anyways.

Great build lots of work... dont be discouraged by the SC build... Its not easy I wont lie but I think its worth it 100%.

Send me ur e-mail I will give you access to my blog your going to be very inspired :D got a few vids up already

and this build thread is awesome, didn't really think you were going to be able to do anything with this car when you got it, but its turning out the great.

What headers do you have, did you get them off ebay? If you mentioned earlier in the thread I missed it, sorry about that.

Here are some shots of the interior. I picked up 2 damn near mint black vinyl comfort seats and an old and busted passenger sport seat that really needs repair.

                              Finally got a shift knob.

                              Sport steering wheel as well!

My starter died, so I need to replace that. But that caused me to pull the intake manifold... so while that is pulled might as well deal with the busted heater core... so might as well pull the dash and repair the cracks... so might as well fix the blower fan... so might as well pull the carpet and dye it while its out... might as well run now speaker wire to replace the extension cord that is being used for speaker wire (this is not a joke, I have brown extension cord wire running to my front speakers!).

So more pics to come as progress happens. Also picked up some suspension goodies. Used Ground Controls, and Bilstein shocks.

Well I took the plunge. /sigh So much work ahead. Should be worth it though.

                                Dash is cracked to shit.

Gonna have to flock this b*tch soon.

Oh man... This must be the new hawtness in car audio. Extension cord speaker wire!

So ridiculous. I have a new stereo that will be going in to replace my removable face tape deck that was in it. :P
