    Mounting this bitch!!

Hey guys, so just dropped my m50 in, using the motor mounts bav auto recycling sent me. Now the engine side of business, the brackets that go into the mount...don't seem to be lining up. Do I need did brackets and motor mounts? I used the ones on the m50 block.

I believe you should have E36 mounts.

          The mounts look like this

But the brackets on the block, I'm assuming the stock m50 ones aren't lining up

            E28 mounts, E36 mount arms

The e28 mounts line up better if they are installed 'backwards'

loosen off both sides of the mount when installing the engine. then you can line it up and tighten both after.
                Function.
                Form.

And by backwards I believe he means with the bolt in the hole closest to engine and the tab in the hole towards frame rails.

I know it's hard to see. But these are the wrong arms aren't they? The drivers side is loosely bolted. But I can't get passenger side to line up

never mind, apparently I'm just a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles. I kind of had to muscle it, but it ended up working out great. I also keep forgetting all these parts aren't technically made to go together...so there's gonna be fitment issues. Cheers! Thanks for the help gents.

Are those E36 arms? Did they come with the engine?

Your using the wrong mounts and in the wrong hole it looks like.
