    M50B20 cams vs B25 cams...

So I need to pull my head some time soon and have found a guy that will give me a M50B20 motor, what I was wondering is, do both the B20 and B25 use the same camshafts? (both non vanos)

What I was thinking is that seeing as ill have the head off, ill pull the cams and replace the lifters, but while im there i was going to try and get a second intake cam and run it exhaust side (this is better from what i have read).

basically just wanting to see if i can get an answer without having to pull the cam out of the B20 if it isnt going to help me......

Anyone got any ideas? I've heard that the 320i M50 cams are an upgrade for the M50B25.

B20 cams are reportedly more agressive, check catcams.co.uk perhaps?

The only part of the B20 head worth using is the cams, the rest is crap... It has smaller ports than the B25 and wont make anywhere near as much power...

I think it's possibly cooked, it blew a head gasket but there was no breach in the gasket so I think the head might be a gonner anyways...
