It's just you. I own both transmissions and both will allow you to fuck yourself.

I still want to know why your rev limiter was set to 7,500?

is the bottom end still alive?

if the cams are still ok and the pistons are not destroyed/rod bearings still ok - just install any good #400 casting head and you are golden. you can even instal a NON-VANOS head for double valve springs if you like - it will directly take the vanos. I did this on my S52 (use m50 nonvanos head and keep vanos and s52 cams+s52 everything)

i will look into this. thank you for the advice i really do appretiate.

I used the stock m3 ecu and my ews delete chip. Im assuming it raised the rev limiter as well as deleted ews...

I did this once. the first week of owning a 94 325is. messing around on the freeway and big fail. topped out 4th gear , went to go in 5th and dropping into 3rd. Do the math 125 in 3rd gear lol. i was lucky to catch the clutch around 7500 and not lock up the rear end. car still drove for a month b4 it took a shit or a valve dropped lol. Some how i got 900bux for the car with a busted engine. GL
I have a phobia now when hard shifting into 5th at speeds above 110 lolz

                because 24v car.........

hahah yeah i know how you feel. I haven't drove a stick yet but i already have the phobia of accidentally going into 2nd instead of 4th. After i drop in this other motor, i'm going to respect the car so much more. lol

Ah. Sounds like your tach is a bit off, then. i havent heard of any off the shelf chips set higher than 7,200.

I did that once with my old M50. Luckily I sourced a low mileage S50 long block quick. I was kind of glad that happened.

I have found it quite helpful to NOT drive the ever loving shit out of my cars, they reward you in the long run with straight valves and good comp.
