    g260 shifting issues.

Has anybody had any shifting issues after a swap using the 260. My gearbox locks me out of second when I'm driving hard with high rpm. I'm wondering if it has to do with the swap or is it just a bad synchro.

did you have any issues with the trans beforehand?? I would check for interference with the shift rod and the driveshaft, and if that all checks out, call the transmission toast....

I don't recall any issues before the swap but i really didn't drive it much before the swap. It shifts fine driving light and shifting at lower rpm's. I thought i read somewhere in someones build that they shimmed one side motor mount to fix the same issue. It may be time to go with a zf.

bricked? What do you mean? Shifter is a new x5 lever with a zhp weighted knob in a sheet metal carrier bolted to the car. There's no interference with any of the parts and plenty of clearance.

Shimming a motor mount isn't going to make your trans shift better...

I didn't think it would either, I thought it was weird when I heard it but I had to ask.

Is the shifter straight when in neutral?
My old car used to lock me in second a lot when it was freezing outside, had to hit that bitch out. Dissappeared when the engine got to operating temp.
