    Code 1264- O2 sensor heater - Backfeed???

My idle has been really bad since I put my motor back in (changed the clutch). A code that came up was 1264, O2 sensor heater. what exactly does it mean, and can it be correlated to my idle?

    Change O2 sensor, most likely.

This is a known e30 DOHC issue. Has to do with differences in how the O2 heater gets it's power between the e30 and e36 chassis. Search on it and you'll find some workarounds. I'm not sure how the ECU actually determines it because the current goes through a relay.

Ok so i concluded from this thread that

You basically run a wire from the Green/Violet wire coming off of the X20 to the fuse 11 in the fusebox, and that is the 12V backfeed?

I tried doing this and my car didn't start at all. Mind you I simply extended the green/violet wire coming off of the X20 and "spliced" it together with the Fuse 11. No start.

I tried exactly what is described here it seems

But the car doesn't start..there is a direct wire coming from the Green/violet wire on the E36 harness to the Fuse 11.
