Brake booster setup: why *wouldn't* you slot the firewall?

The E21 booster works great. I drilled my clevis pin out to M12x1.5 and just threaded the shaft to that. Works GREAT!

You can buy them from kragen refurbished for $121.

Cut, welded, rethreaded the shaft on a $40 e21 booster. I couldn't be happier with it. If I do another 24v swap, I'll use the same method.

my brakes work perfectly fine.They feel better then the stock . Im sure that combo works as well, but my brakes feel much better after my swap. Your legs must be toothpicks bro.
