m50TU Cam options

I just swapped an e34 M50TU into my 90 e30 chasis and I wanna pull a little more power out of her, the best looking option right now seems to be head work/cams. Since Im new to the e30 scene I'm wondering what my options are as far as swapping a s50 head onto my m50 or just using the m3 cams. Also, I came across schrick cams for the m50 that I was considering but does anyone know if I'm going to have to upgrade valve springs/keepers, seats, etc?

As far as I am aware, S50 cams are an upgrade, as are Schrick (which are close, if not the same as S50 cams).

I've seen S52 cams get swapped in, with the carrier, but I don't know too much about that.

s50 cams will go right into the m50tu. I did this with larger injectors (pink top 19lbs), chip and 3.5 HFM. I dyno'd about 196/175 with my tune leaning out just after 6250. I was quite impressed with how all that helped open up that motor.

Sweet! thats something I have to look into! Now when you swap the s50 cams is anything else necessary like valve springs or seats etc or is it just cam swap? And what chip did you use because Ive been looking can't find one for m50 with s50 cams....thanks for your input!

Just straight cam swap. It all depends on you if you'd like to get new valve springs etc... you'll have to pull the head to do all of that and then the whole "wellllll while i'm in there" mentality sets in. From there its just a slippery slope. I speak from experience. LOL.
