    Bad MPGs?

So I have a 95 S50B30US in my car. It has 21.5lb/hr injectors, 3.5" MAF, 16lb flywheel, a Bimmerworld boot and a TRM tune for them all. Currently I'm getting around 17 MPGs MAX. That's mixed driving. I get around 15 if I'm all city and around 18 if I'm all freeway.

My question, are these low numbers for the mods listed, or are they correct and I just have to suck it up?

Issue is that I was getting a solid 19-20 in town and around 24-25 on the freeway before said mods were installed.

yeah i have same mods on my s50, and i can honestly say, i may be taking them out and installing them only for track days. but currently i estimate 320-340 to the tank mixed driving.

Okay yeah, I'm getting like 180 miles to 3/4s of a tank (when I usually refill.) That's 240 or so per tank. Almost a full 100 miles less than you.

Driving habit may have something to do with it, but even so it seems low.

In the same boat, but I seem to have a much greater issue on my hands.

The mods are surely contributing to it a little, but there's probably something else at play here.
Could be any number of things.

                        clogged cat
                        bad spark plug
                        fuel filter
                        low fuel pressure
                        intake filter
                        ...

How many miles are on the s50? You should do a compression test.

Yeah, I'd say that's a tad on the low side. I get around 18-19 in town, and 23-24 highway, with the same engine, and same mods--21.5lb/hr injectors, 3.5" MAF, BW air boot, TRM tune. I don't have a lightweight flywheel, but I do have fairly high gearing--1:1 5th gear with an S3.46.

                            For me

95 S50B30US stock injectors, 3.5" MAF, stock flywheel, zf/3.15 lsd, BW boot and a TRM tune 21 mpg mixed driving

I'm convinced it's the box like design of the E30
