brake light switch and brakes locking up

    brake light switch and brakes locking up

    latest issue after I started to dailying my car. brake light switch will not allow my brake pedal to release all the way causing my brakes to lock up unless I pull the switch. any ideas?

        Sounds like you need to screw down the clevis on the end of your booster a bit to shorten the rod. You don't need to disconnect the booster from your pedal. Just break the 17mm nut loose and twist the rod with a pair of pliers until the pedal starts to back off of the switch. Once the brake lights stay on all the time you've gone too far.

          I had the same issue and adjusted the switch instead. Solution above will also work

            clevis is screwed all the way in. reason why im confused at whats goin on

              are there different length clevis' on the boosters? could i possibly be running one thats too long? With it all the way screwed in i still do not have any sort of room to fit the switch
