Fuel pump might be going out as well.

When does an M52 make peak torque? Could just be hitting the top of the power you have. I mean, why do you need to be accelerating hard at 6500 RPM anyway?

If you dont have a cel you prob dont have a VSS signal either.

Pretty easy to peel back the c101 and x20 plugs and connect the necessary wires. May as well make it right

The car is a 89 I replaced the fuel filter and pump. When I unplug the ecu it runs like crap for like 20 miles within that time it will rev out great. I don't need to rev that far I'm jest worried I have power loss in other places.

How does it even run? Did you mean to say you unplugged the MAF? Or maybe the O2?

I would revisit your wire harness adapter first thing and verify you have these connections:
                      E30 C101 pin 12 to E36 X20 pin 8 (engine check light)
                      E30 C101 pin 14 to E36 X20 pin 14 (road speed signal)

Sorry when I unplug the ecu resets and it runs like crap. As for the wire there is a wight and black wire at pin 8 on e36 and on pin 12 e36 there is a brown wire that has been cut there is a big green and black wire going into pin 14 e36.
