Brake fluid res / Sparco strut bar

My brake fluid reservoir is very close to the strut tower and up high because PO had S50.
The reservoir won't allow me to install the Sparco shaped bar.

What I need to know is if I can just suck out the fluid, shorten the two hoses and therefore lower the reservoir, without having to bleed air from the brakes later?
Anyone have close-ups of their reservoir/sparco bar combo?

Easy question for anyone who's done it. I just wanna make sure I don't screw something up.

Just dont touch the brake pedal while youre doing it and youll be fine.

          Thank you.
And is there a way to sit the reservoir directly on top of the cylinder or do they always have hoses?

what's wrong with the bar you have now?

people like to try and turn the connection at the strut tower into a moment connection. let me tell you - one extra M10 bolt and some flimsy sheet metal isn't going to do shit. a hinged bar works just as well under tension and compression, and is equally as worthless at being a moment connection. except it doesn't have the drawbacks of being more difficult to fit and work around.

That silver bar is soft aluminium and very flimsy. I basically just used it to hold the harness box.
