    can I use E30 O2 sensor ?

Can I use my O2 sensor that was with my E30 M20 with the new M50? Asking because its brand new ... would be a shame to throw it out and buy another new...

No, it doesn't have the right wiring connector for the M50. You need the O2 sensor that goes with the motor.

Sell the M20 one, since it's in good shape, and put it toward the cost of a new one from Blunttech or Guten Parts.

M40/M42 has the same connector. I'm hoping they work as the one that came with my M50 is junk.

I thought it depended on the year. I used the one that came in my 90 M20 car for the NVM50 that was swapped in.

Well my E30 is only 1 model year older than my donor car was (93 touring and 94 325iS so I'm just gonna put the one from my old M40 in.

86/87 325i/e had different O2 sensors (3 wire) any 4 wire M20 sensor will work fine on an M50 (NV at least)

                        +1

The 4 wire pulled from a 1990 325i worked fine on my M50 swap.
