    Motor mount spacers

Where can I get some motor mount spacers for m50's? I searched around with little results. I want to run about 10mm on the passenger side to make a little room to run my midpipe un-bastardized.

    Any ideas?

I went to Carquest and they hooked me up with some u shaped spacers that I stacked. They told me they were used for truck alignments. Worked like a charm.

Nice! You have any pictures installed? Did you put them between the mount and subframe, or mount and motor arm?

No pix right now but I can get some tmro. They are stacked between the mount and the arm. The nice thing about these are that you don't have to remove the mounts, just jack up engine and slide in what you need.

Ok cool, that would be awesome! I have carquest local, so I hope they have them available here.

Did you notice any funny vibration or anything after spacing the engine up? Which side did you raise and by roughly how much?

I slotted some thick washers to get the same effect.

I didn't notice any difference in driveability nor will you. The change in angle has got to me minimal. I used them on driver side to clear the brake booster.

i used washers that i special ordered from a coffee can in my shop. 2 washers did the trick for my headers to clear the subframe

you can probably go to most any shop that does alignments and get more than you will ever need for pennies, if anything. These are just standard alignment shims used in 99.99% of domestic cars from the 1970's.

Bought a bunch of washers and threw em in there. Spaced about 3/4" on both sides. The oil pan is no longer sitting on my steering rack, and I don't notice any abnormal shaking.. My driver side motor mount is a little more skewed than before, hope that stays whole.

What mounts are you using? That seems incredibly excessive. I think most people are using 1 or 2 washers. I have one thick washer on each side, about equal to 2 of yours. I would tend to think that is putting alot of stress on the stud coming from your mount.

Using e28 motor mounts.. Actually, the passenger side sits pretty fine, the driver side is the one I'm worried about
