    24v tune: 91 vs. 93 Oct

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a new OBD-1 chip from TRM. I always fill up with 93 Octane, and really don't perceive getting 93 to really be an issue. I live in Savannah where it get's quite hot, and it is my daily driver. I'm not really interested in squeezing every possible amount of power from my motor. That being said:

Is the difference in tunes (TRM or otherwise) for 91 Oct and 93 Octane noticeable at all?

Would getting the 91 tune and still filling up with 93 be "safer" than a 93 tune?

can OBD-1 still retard timing effectively if a 93 tune knocks due to extreme heat or a batch of bad gas?

    R3V's recommendations?

To answer your questions if you live in hot climate stay with bone stock tune. It is already tuned for 93(recommended) and 91(minimum)

TRM tune will be more aggressive and if there is knock, timing will be retarded and make the engine run worse

I actually currently have an old TMS tune. I have only actually heard knock one time, and it was hot as balls, and I was driving it very very hard. I also will be relocating up north in the not too distant future, so I suppose short term heat is not a real concern.
