    M50 engine harness

    Any ones knows how or where to get a engine harness connection diagram so that i can plug all the connectors on my engine bay? thanks in advance!

    More information on what year/model/motor the harness came off of would be helpful. What is the motor going into?

      Yes you're correct! Is a m50 vanos out off a 94 325i in my 89 e30 325i! You know of any web site that can help with my issue thank

        This site is your new best friend...



        Download both engine harnesses, go through every page on the E30 harness and make note of any C101 connector by getting the Pin Number and it's function. Then go through the E36 harness ad make note of any X20 connector.

        Here is my simple connection layout.


        Yours will be different as you should have the dynamic and static oil sensors, which are pins 2 and 3 on the C101. PM me your email address and I will send you my more advanced chart which has EVERY pin.

          The level sensors are 2 & 10, there is never a connection on pin 3.

          Where are people getting pin 6 & 20 connections to 22 & 3? All you have to do is loop 6 to 20; pin 3 & 22 arent needed for anything. You can use pin 6 to power the diagnostics port, however.

          This is why you should look up the wiring yourself instead of relying on (mostly wrong) charts from the internet.
