I've witnessed Aaron in the 1/8th...9.60's
Seen 9.20's @ 77 for a 2.7 M20.
~ conversion factor for 1/8 to 1/4 is 1.55 for ET and 1.24 for trap speed.

Check Engine code : Bad Air Flow Sensor
1/4 mile
r/t .042
60' 2.103
330' 5.818
1/8 8.77
mph 82.97
1000 11.345
1/4 13.4
mph 103.31
Not really enjoying not breaking 2.0 60ft times oh well 195's and wheel hop own me not to mention negative camber
I want a 12.9 damnit ,the LS2 GTO that i ran on the street ran a 13.0 with a 2.0 60ft . I pull on him in third gear.Last edited by aeryk7; 11-12-2006, 05:01 PM.

I went up to the drag strip (Va Motorsports Park) with a few friends and in 5 hours only managed 3 runs...had some wheelspin issues and had to back pedal the gas a bit on launch (launching from about 2.5K).
Best was my third run:
R/T .143
60' 2.055
330 5.840
1/8 8.949
MPH 80.09
1000 11.596
1/4 13.840
MPH 100.66
Unfortunately, shifting to 4th before the lights leaves me "off the cam" thru the lights. It comes on the cam about 105mph, so I'm a sitting duck at 95-100 mph where I've got a nice dip in the power curve. I may play around with cam timing, or just bite the bullet and Schrick it.
Had the honor of the quickest BMW there. A guy was hacking it up in an E46 M3 (13.9 on race rubber!) and another fella in an E39 540i (14.7).
It was Fun.

260/3.73 E30 M3 clutch.
Ronal 15X7.5
225/50-15 Falken 512's (Great tire IMHO)
34 psi all around.
I ran the car as I do on the street. 3/4 tank, full interior/AC, Stereo. 93 pump. Lift throttle shifting (I had to *make it home* 2 hours away).
With a few more runs, I'm sure I would have cracked a 1.9XX. Maybe a smidge better with less rear air, but I wanted less rolling resistance on the big end. I was after mph more than ET. I got neither :(
There was also an E36 M3/4 on Azenis that I forgot to mention. best of 14.4@95...

What's a better than average 1/4 time you can get with m50 swap (m52 intake/ S cams, basic bolt ons) in a early 318i chassis on 205-225 street tire (low 200 treadwear for example) with a 1.5-2.0 60' ?
I am kind of surprised to see low 15s, was hoping to see some mid 14s atleast. :(Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

Yeah that is rather surprising, because people run mid to high 14s on bone stock E36 328is. Never mind those with an M50 manifold and S52 cams. The E36 weighs more, though I guess it has a quasi-multi link rear suspension.
