So basically I just need to get a M52 pressure line. The 21mm should plug onto the pump and 19mm to the top inlet on the rack.. The cooling line is all the same for all E36 models correct? (21mm) which hooks up to the bottom of the rack and the other to the reservoir. -
The PS pressure line needs to match the pump: rule of thumb.
-Plastic OFH pump (M52) uses a 21mm banjo at the pump and a 19 at the rack
-Metal OFH (m50/S50/S52) uses a 19 banjo at both ends.Leave a comment:

Im having problems running a M52 328 steering pump with a 97 M3 rack. Seems like the banjo inlets/outlets do not correspond.Leave a comment:

Thank you for clearing this up. Anyone have pictures of how the motor mount is mounted? I have it clicked into the crossmember but it looks like the driver side it's as bit too close to the frame. The charcoal canister is in the way. How do I bypass this canister?Leave a comment:

You need to run two coolant sensors. One that comes with the e36 engine and hooks up to the harness and supplies info to the DME. You have to run a completely different sensor (e30 brown plastic top) to the e30 cluster to get the temp gauge to work. If you don't have a spare plug in your block you'll have to drill one out or use one of the other suggestions in this thread.Leave a comment:

Brake booster is shifter towards the driverside, not down.Yeah thank god I didn't do it, cus all I had around were small metal pliers. That thing was a pain to break lol. Now I'm just stuck regarding the cooling sensor and oil temp sensor.
On the AGK diagram it says
http://www.akgmotorsport.com/e30convpins.html
19 Oil temp X6031 pin 10
20 Coolant temp 11
I'm not sure how to approach it. Am I suppose to remove the original sensor and put in the old E30 one after I die it? Then how would I plug it up? Cut the E36 harness and splice the brown/purple wire into that 1 pin?
Almost done, and as for the brake booster, am I shifting it torwards the driverside half an inch? Or down half an inch?
Can't help you with wiringLeave a comment:

If you want to replace the bolts and torque them down again. They are stretch type or TTY and are one time use bolts. If you want to not deal with that you can bend it back and forth and it snaps clean off no metal shavings from grinding it off and no rod knock from reusing TTY bolts.Leave a comment:

Also for the wind tray bracket thing, can't I just unscrew it from the crank?Leave a comment:

So I'm suppose to chop the coolant sensor harness from the odb2 e36 harness? And pin it to fit the e30 plug? Which wired are they?Leave a comment:

Need to wire the cluster part of the OBD2 wiring to the E30 cluster sensor.Leave a comment:

Can someone elaborate a bit more about the coolant temp sensor? The s52 is 4 prong and the new one is 2 prong. What am I suppose to do?Leave a comment:
