    E34 Throttle Cable Question

    So, I'm swapping in a M52 and I'll be using a E34 throttle cable.
I want to know, if the cable needs to be bolted to the driver shock tower exactly the same way the stock E30 cable is bolted?

When I removed my throttle cable from my M42, there was a little bracket that held the cable tight up against the shock tower.

    Thanks

It is un-supported. Route it through the two guides on the TB.
I found it necessary to trim some thickness off the rubber grommet that secures the cable on the first guide.(this guide supports the cable sleeve and provides a stop for the second guide to pull the core cable.)

The trimming was to gain a little more slack.

So it doesn't need to be mounted to the shock tower?

I mounted mine in a similar fashion to the stock cable just to keep it from flopping around. As long as you dont kink the cable too sharply, it doesnt really matter how it mounts, or if it mounts at all.
