    Motor mounts

I was looking at urethane mounts from Ireland.. the ones for an e28 535.. and they say in the notes will not fit m5.. why is that? I thought we could use m5 or 535I mounts for 24v swaps.. so why are these different?

I was about to order a set for my swap but maybe ill go with another brand. Condor is phat dollar.. I was planning on spending about 100.00

Edit: I just found condors for 110.00

I thought they were like 250

I have AKG's and I love them! Its worth the extra money to never worry about them again in my opinion. I don't have experience with the others.

I had the AKG on my first swap, they are a very nice product. Now I just have delrin chunks in there. :D

Would you say that going the opposite way, that is from delrin to the AKG poly mounts, that there would be a notable change in vibration and road noise transmission into the cabin?

My mounts are scraps of Delrin. Despite the harmonics of the I-6, passengers will notice the NVH. ;)

I went with Delrin because I've been on a quest to drive a car with minimal slack in the drive train. When I did my swap, I reinforced the mounts but they will eventually fatigue and fracture due to the cyclic undamped loading. I wouldn't do Delrin on a car you want to live with forever. Rauh-liben.
