    Coolant temp sensor help

Hey , hopefully someone can help me out, my temp gauge is not working I changed my temp sensor to the m20 and re-wired the wires on the c101 to the x20 connector but still no reading???!!! just want to make sure is the wire colors brown n purple on both sides #4 on c101 to #12 on x20? Because I also read that it's the connector #4 from the c101 (brown/purp) to #12 on the x20 connector which is (brown/yellow). Can someone clear up the wire colors for me n I have searched that's why I'm not sure what color wires should be connected (the PO had done a hack job so I don't have the original m50 side connector).thankss

Are you sure your gauge is even working properly? Most temp gauges fail from a handful of issues. Bad board, bad wiring right behind the panel, a screw can be loose(or two)....Seriously, pull the panel and inspect everything.

Test continuity from the sensor plug to the c101 wire.
