    M52tu info

I just bought a M52tu longblock and was wondering if I can put a single vanish head on it? And if not can I just take the internals out of it and put them in a M50?

i believe the coolant channels are different, and will not line up between m52tu block and m52/m50 single vanos heads.

Would it be possible to swap over the internals into a M50 block?

well, anything is possible. but you may just be better off selling and buying an m52b28 or something. less headaches.

Yeah, you can put the crank, rods and pistons in an M50 block.

I have also seen people add double vanos to a single vanose engine by using the DV cams and doing a little machining on the DV unit.

I wonder If you could just swap in some M50 cams and Single vanos unit and have a aluminum block 2.8. Might be a few other parts you would have to mess with like the CPS.

I don't think there is any gain to this other then saving money on rebuilding a whole engine if you already have all the parts laying around.
