Bigass dynomax chambered. I used multiple magnaflows, a borla, and finally ended up happy with a dynomax 17776.

      Borla was too expensive

You having custom made down pipes? Is there a disadvantage or advantage to 3"? I was thinking of doing my M52 with a 2.5''. What does it change?

Yeah, custom from exhaust manifolds back.

This is what e30polak said about his setup on his s52

I would add either an Ultra-Quiet resonator, or a middle muffler, as the Vibrants are loud to begin with.

I went with 3" because I plan on a going with a turbo set up one day when I have the money. If you don't plan on going FI 2.5 should be plenty. Find a shop that does mandrel bent pipe though.

2.5 inches flows only 1-2% better on paper than my stock setup for my m50 (e34 M50NV). My car has dual 1.75 inch pipes

There aren't any downpipes that can be fitted to stock m50/m52 headers? Then maybe going all custom after the downpipes

i just ordered from summit a thrush 3 inch muffler, a long summit glasspack, and 3 inch pipe with some mandrel bends. should be going on in the next week or so, and i'll try and update with how it sounds if you are still interested.

it will be replacing the straight 3 inch pipe and 40 series flowmaster on the car now (NOT my doing) as this current setup is deafening and sounds like absolute crap.

i'm planning on putting the muffler in the center of the car, and using the glasspack as the rear section of the car before the tailpipe to help knock out the drone if any.

Does anyone know if one of those dual-muffler exhausts will fit e30? Corsa makes the best sounding one at a hefty ~$950. There are others though. Umnitza ones like ~$400. IE one is the cheapest and least good looking. And Rougue Engineering "Diablo" sounds like crap and is more expensive than Umnitza.

Ya the e36 stuff will fit with a good exhaust shop and maybe custom hangers. I have the e36 Eisenmann and was looking at the UUC/Corsa you mentioned before. Dual all the way back fits nice.

They are great quality pieces! Just have to hit up the exhaust shop

Here is a quick exhaust video my buddy shot. Sorry about the fan noise, I have to run it all the time, because every fan switch I buy seems to be faulty
