    bending g260 selector rod

    Does anyone who's done the swaphave pics of how much they newses to modify the selector rod? I have the modified trans brace but I fogired if I could get specs/pics on the modification I can do it now so it'll be ready when I install everything. Thanks

    twist the rod 10 degrees. 1 end in a vice, adjustable wrench around the other end, heat if you wish but I didn't need heat to twist mine. Another way would be to cut it, align the pieces 10 degrees twisted and weld it back together.

        FYI also.. If your running a short shift lever or ever plan to and your driveshaft has a dampner donut, you will need to bend it clear that as well.

          I took my vibration damper off and have not had any problems.

            Crap, they are removable? i thought they are riveted in.. I would have done that too..

              the bolts that hold it on are splined so you just hammer them out of the driveshaft, remove the damper, then hammer the bolts back in.

                Mines already gone. It hit with stock drivetrain and z3 shifter
