    M50 Drivability

    Hey guys;

    I've been driving the M50 E30 now for about a year and I was wondering if you guys noticed any change in drivability.

    The M20 I always found was smooth to change gears and didn't jerk around much. With the new M50, I find gearing down and gearing up between 1st and 2nd and sometimes 2nd and 3rd can be very harsh if I don't rev match perfectly.

    Could it be partly my lightened flywheel? Is it the nature of a higher torque engine?

      sounds like more of a trans or clutch problem then the engine.

            It's the stock G260. The clutch and flywheel were from my old car, with only about 10k on them. The flywheel was remachined and lightened by a machinist.

            I dunno, someone would have to drive my car and see if I'm just being crazy.
