    M60 3.5" Throttle Body Swap

Does anyone have any good information on this? I've been trying to find out what is involved, but searching brings up nothing on r3v, and only questions about who has done it on other forums.

As long as the TPS works or you are able to use the factory TPS, and the throttle cable links up it should be easy, but there has to be a reason I don't see everyone with a 3.5" MAF with a 3.5" TB also.

While a 3.5" mod is cool and just "another thing" to add to a mod list, performance gains from stock to 3.5" have shown little to no improvement unless added alongside of cams, intake, full exhaust and a tune. I'm in no way discouraging you to do this, and I have no pointers on how to go about this, but just letting you know that it might not be worth the money/trouble.

Not worried about gains, but once the motor is in, it will have cams/HFM/intake/exhaust/tune etc, so I'm trying to find out if there's a reason(fitment wise) I don't see anyone else with this TB on their similarly modded M5x's

I have more info on this. I bought a kit from a vendor that seems to not be selling it any more. The big problem is finding the correct throttle cable. I have the cable that came with the kit but the bmw part number is ground off. You can enlarge the opening on the M50 manifold about 1/4 inch and port match the adapter plate. This makes the opening about 3 inches vs the stock 2.75 inch IIRC.

Are talking about this throttle body and adapter plate? Found one for sale on bfc.

            Not mine
