    Yeah, there's something else going on. 1/4" steel plate doesn't crack that easily, which you can see on the engine mount on the left side.

        One thing I've noticed is that you must use locking fasteners on the mount's bottom studs. If you use subframe mount ear reinforcements, this really frustrates access to the bottom studs if you use the rubber mounts, even if you clearance (grind) them.

        I use an offset box wrench to reach and torque the nuts tightly. However, they will back off if they aren't locking fasteners, or are locking fasteners that have been reused a few times.

        I've actually lost both bottom nuts once, but I caught it soon after I lost them. I also have a friend who let it go too long after losing the nuts, and the engine hammered up and down. This resulted in his passenger side mount arm breaking.

          I've never met Dave the owner of Markert motor works (live on the opposite coast.) I have bought a harness from them after a positive referral. Good product and A+ support post sale.

            I agree. It's weird that Revshift still used E28 design when they came up with their own product for the swap. I'd just use E28 mounts unless stiffer mounts are desired. AKG mounts fit better and also a bit softer (hardness 70A vs 80A) but more expensive.

              I made an order for Revshift mounts on December, 22. Still nothing, I thnk Ireland Engineering and Revshift are competing with each other to see who's the slowest shippers of all.

                Mounts arrived some time ago, Install was easy, it seats perfectly, and it feels great IMO. Im happy with the product.

                  I want to save money buy purchasing those over the AKGs, but I don't want them to fail after a few thousand miles. How was the quality on yours?

                  Can anyone chime in on the condor mounts? Will these put additional stress on the subframe as they are solid-style mounts?

                      All I can say, is that I really like the Revshift. I ordered on christmas so because of holidays it took a little extra time to arrive, but...as far as the product goes, Im really pleased man. The price is right in the middle. They have some poly mounts for like almost 2hundred out there, so I went for Revs. They will fit perfectly installing on the E36 arms, oval insert. They look good, I got the softer compound they offer. Engine sits just right and I did not notice extra stress, and I have on my DD.

                            I'd like this too, I like mine but noticed when I loosened them to pull my tranny, it's very easy to grab them and rotate with your hand... Not sure if this is good lol

                              It is more expensive at the beginning to go with the aftermarket mounts, but it will save you lots of money in the long run. This particular failure ruined a 300 dollar all aluminum Mishimoto radiator.
                              OUCH....
                              Looks like its time for some Condor swap mounts.
