I've done a little research but couldn't find anything, which probably answers my question and i just need regular tools. Anyway, what are the tools people needed for an m50 swap besides a solid set of sockets and things? i mean are there any specialty tools i should be investing in in the near future to get this thing done? Thanks in advance homies.

Wow dude you're in for some shite. Good luck to you. FYI you'll have to buy tools as you go depending on what you're doing. You def want a variety of metric sockets as wellas a variety of wrenches, including breaker bars, torque wrenches. Like I said figure it out as you go. Be ready for the countless trips to you local auto/ hardware store

I've accumulated a whole garage of tools. Even invested in a few special tools needed for rebuilds.
Doing an S52 swap now that I've scrapped my M50 swap idea. Now my M50TUB sits pretty in her rebuilt top. You're gonna need torque wrenches in 3/8 and 1/4. Very important.
But if you're just doing a simple take engine out, then put in new one then you will need wrenches, sockets set, breaker bar, engine stands and a hoist for the most part.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Inverted Torx sockets for tranny, a good set of allen sockets, wobble extensions make things easy like ratcheting wrenches.
Be ready to drop $500 on good tools (MAc/Snap On if you can afford, Husky/Craftsmen on a budget) if you want the job to go smooth and easy.

A thin 32mm open-end wrench for clutch fan removal.
Flare wrenches on brake and clutch lines.
Clutch alignment tool in case you are replacing your clutch.
You also need welding equipment if you're working on your own exhaust.
Well some of these depend on how far you're willing to go. A lot of special tools can be rented from Autozone if needed.90 E30 S50B30

if you get the 32mm for the fan to get it out of the way you can yank the motor and trans at the same time and unless your using the tranny you don't have to have the female torx bits. You do need a nice 3/8 at least, socket set and a set of long extensions to pull the pita 14mm exhaust nuts. I would also recommend a can of PB blaster to 1st spray the rusted nutz on the exhaust so it won't get ugly. You also need a good cherry picker along with a floor jack, jack stands and additional blocking. Oh and don't forget a **friend that knows what he is doing.
