    Tach Trouble

I have my tach all wired up as it should be and it works but as you rev it up it goes up way to fast and in no time i'm at 7k and it seems to be only running at like 4-5k maybe. Any clue what this would be?

You need a 6cyl coding plug for the cluster.

You have a 4 cyl coding plug in your cluster.

Ok so like is there somewhere to get that or do i need a new cluster? The cluster was in the car and it was a 6cyl that's what i don't really understand. Is there maybe a write up on here about it?

ETA coding plugs only work sometimes so just cause its from a 6cyl car doesnt mean its guaranteed to work.

The coding plug is that little guy on the front right of the cluster when you remove the trim panel between the steering wheel and the cluster. Just squeeze the tabs and pull it out. I just did this a few moments ago; all fixed!
