I have my tach all wired up as it should be and it works but as you rev it up it goes up way to fast and in no time i'm at 7k and it seems to be only running at like 4-5k maybe. Any clue what this would be?

The coding plug is that little guy on the front right of the cluster when you remove the trim panel between the steering wheel and the cluster. Just squeeze the tabs and pull it out. I just did this a few moments ago; all fixed!1991 349is (wadded up)
