    S52 OBD2 Fuel Pressure Regulator?

How are you guys running it? Which ones did you buy? Post pics! This is the last step to my swap.

The regulator is the same as OBD1, it is 3.5bar

If you are using M50 manifold then you will use the M50 regulator with rail. If you will use OBD2 intake manifold from 328i or M3 then you can mount the remote fuel pressure regulator somewhere , it is not that big and running loss valve is benefit, it helps reduce fuel boiling.

Yeah I'm running the stock OBD2 manifold, so I can just take the stock fuel pressure regulator from the E36?

you can use the OBD1 fuel rail with integral FPR, but the S52 fuel rail cover will not fit (without modification)

like desertBMW showed, you can (and should) use the OBD2 remote FPR/running losses valve. it's a newer and better system.

Ok so in that diagram the top is feed and the return is the bottom one correct? Anyone have one specifically labeled?

Good point, i don't remember seeing that wire lol.

Any chance I can just cut between the hardlines and tap it like shown in the picture? I would have to create some sort of bevel though I'd believe to allow the hose to seat.

Or do I cut where the rubber fuel lines are coming from up the engine and splice inbetween them?

I am at this point too. I bought an OBD1 fuel rail with the regulator attached but was wondering if i should just go this route.

I opted for a 97 528i OBD2 rail with standard FPR. Bolts on the m50 mani with the tab re-locator kit on m50manifold.com

anyone have a more indepth response? the fpr is under the e36 correct, and i can just splice the original hoses going up to the fuel rail and tap it into there?

or is it easier to cut the hardlines?

on the e30 i believe theres the stock fuel pressure regulator, should i delete that?

If you removed the M20, then you already have.

i removed the m20, i thought the stock fuel pressure was in the trunk?

Its on the front of the fuel rail it looks like a bell with a vac line coming out.

Whats the reasoning behind having to use the obd1 fuel rail with an m50 manifold? Why cant I keep the obd2 system?
