OEM oil cooler options

Does anyone know of any OEM oil cooler options that would mount up to the stock oil cooler brackets on an E30 325?

I've read the E28 M5 oil cooler is a bolt on upgrade for the E30 M3s, but not sure if either the M5 or M3 oil coolers would be considered an upgrade from the stock M20 oil cooler and if it would mount right up.

Anyone have data points? BTW, this is for a S52 swap car.

The m3 cooler is an 87 325i cooler. They mount on the sides. 88 325i on up uses a different style mount that mounts from the bottom. I would use the one that's made for your car.

Thanks for the info. If the M3 is the early E30 equivalent, and that E28 M5 oil cooler is an upgrade, can one infer the M5 oil cooler is also a bolt on to the 325i?

If you have an 87 325i, sure. Beyond that, there are always custom oil coolers.
