Misfire impossible to diagnose, finnaly diaged with bmw inpa

    Hi there

got a very weird problem with my M52 swap since the transplant, misfires on cylinder 1, 2, 3, with injector cut off.

    02 sensor
    6 coils and spark plugs
    Injectors are good
all intakes gaskets and o ring
    Oil seperator

    are brand new

i'v finnaly installed inpa on a laptop and diaged it

got strange battery and ECT readings

misfire at 5728 rpm? WHY do people have to rev their engines when theyre not running well? Doesnt make any sense at all.

Like Mr.Swiss said, check yo grounds.

Yes ground straps on 1 and 6 are brand new.

The engine main ground is on the driver side, stock e30 location

There is no issue at low revs and part throttle, only wot and high rpm

the ECU will shut of injectors.

Get a new DME/ECU now and save the journey.

hmmmm... this is the second DME i'm trying.

I bought the DME from markertmotorworks, the 1st one was tuned by technica, with a known bad tune, and it has been replaced by this one, tuned by TRM.

looks like a low voltage in the DME don't allow the coils to ignit above 5000 rpm, on cylinder 1 2 3.

read the codes another time, and it will misfire at same RPM +-10...

Chris can you point me to where you bought your diagnostic program and was it very difficult to install, most of the ones I have seen are set up as virtual machines and really a pain to install and use. Thanks, didn't mean to put this off topic.

it is posible that you did not connect the SAP valve silenoid, VANOS actuator, camshaft sensor, the correct way, it is easy to mix them up, I have seen people do this

We cannot invert camshaft and cranckshaft sensors, plug are different
vanos actuator is the last plug in the injector harness

and there is nothing plugged to the sap solenoid plug since it has been deleted by the tune ?
