Which throttle cable with e30 booster

Working frantically trying to get the car ready for a race this Saturday and need some help-
We ended up using the stock e30 booster and everything seems fine- the issue we're having right now is the throttle cable is frayed on both ends and will be replaced. The routing of the cable seems a little suspect since it's right behind the booster and has to take some interesting turns to get to the throttle body mounting points. Is there a different, maybe longer cable that's better to use with the e30 booster? Is there a better way to route it around the master cylinder?

I think the cable that's there now is from the e34.

    TIA

Is the 318is longer? Will this just mount right up or are some modifications required?

Mounts right up. But I can see how it would be a PITA without removing the brake booster. I'm running the 318is with relocated stock booster plenty long just a tight fit.

yeah- the fire wall location is very tight with sliding the e30 booster over.
so this sounds like it will work just right

The 318is cable works like a champ. Don't know why anyone would use the e34 cable- this just give a couple extra inches that just gives more options for routing.

so the 318is cable is shorter? good to know. my e34 cable is so damn long for no reason!

No- the 318is cable is a few inches longer. I'm assuming that an e34 cable was in the car to begin with, and when the brake booster was replaced with the stock one (moved over) this cable wasn't really long enough to properly route.
