Mine is nowhere near that tight with the 944 booster, I didn't shave fins on the intake, either.

I've seen the intake manifold resting on the booster with both r3vshift and AKG mounts. I'm probably going to shim mine, but I may eventually go the A4 booster route.

Mine fit with room to spare on green M5 mounts.

Why the revshift hate?

The mounts do not incorporate the angle like the akg ones. The lousy fitment fallowed by multiple orientations allow the engine to be misaligned. I am not a fan because of the fitment issues I had with them.

I have a 944 booster and Revshift mounts and mine touches just a little bit. My fins are completely shaved as well.

zero problem with E28 mounts, no shims

E28 mounts , no shims . ATE booster (the girdling one sucks) and shave the intake fins down for the lulz.
