M50 no power to the starter?

I can't get my car to start unless i reach in and push the black wire coming from the starter towards the firewall. Sometimes it starts instantly, other times it needs to be wiggled. Any ideas? Just a loose connection, or do i need to replace the starter?

Or did you over tighten the stud? If you over torque the stud while tightening you can break the internal connection in the starter.

Haven't had time to pull it out yet. Hopefully tomorrow or Sunday!

Got it fixed! Tightened and cleaned the connections.
