    Getrag G260

I have a G260, M50TU, and an E30. I've been having a bit of confusion about what I need to correct that 10 degree rotation when the trans is mounted.

I know this is supposed to do something but there is also the twisting of the linkage which I can have done, or I could spring for the UUC double shear selector rod that has that 10 degree twist as well.

My question is, do I need both or could it be one or the other. My thought is that if I use both, then there would just be a 10 degree shift to the left because it's compensating 20degrees.

Thanks for your help, when I start gathering more parts i'll enlighten you all with a build thread! :D

Yes, thats the tranny brace you need. To compensate for the ~12*, I bent the rod and the shift carrier. No heat or buying additional parts.

You would need both. The modified trans brace accounts for the rotated g260, and the modified/UUC selector rod corrects your rotated shift lever that is a result of the rotated g260

about the "compensating 20 degrees" part, the modified trans brace isn't there to rotate anything, your g260 would already be rotated by being bolted onto an engine that sits at a different angle than the m20 or m42 would. It is only there because a stock trans brace wouldn't bolt up (well) to an angled g260.
